We are excited to share the successful completion of the Lower Penn project in the Wolverhampton area, delivered on behalf of Severn Trent Water (STW). This complex scheme included the installation of a 1.8km rising main, a segmental concrete shaft with an 800m³ storage tank at Lower Penn and a weholite plastic pipe nest with a 250m³ storage tank at Warstones. Despite a last-minute design change due to a TPO tree enforcement, Barhale and STW worked collaboratively to meet the regulatory deadline set by the Environment Agency, with the plant fully commissioned and operational since March.

With all site compounds now demobilised and final snagging completed, Barhale is proud to hand over a fully operational and compliant asset to STW. This project is a testament to the dedication and teamwork between Barhale and STW, overcoming late-stage challenges to deliver a high-quality solution on time.
