Barhale’s project for ESD Joint Venture at Ochiltree Wastewater Treatment Works has recently come to a finish.

The works were to construct a new CSO Storm Screen and MCC kiosk, as well as ducting and connections into the existing drainage network. There were also road modifications required to allow for the discharge from the new storm screen.

In an extremely tight working area within the operational water treatment works, the team have worked incredibly hard to complete the scope of works. This included the design of the precast tank elements and craneage selection to install in the very constrained area. The subsequent lifting operations to install the Precast Storm Screen and MCC chambers were undertaken utilising a 100T Mobile Crane.

The team also made sure that all works were carried out with minimal disruption to the treatment works.
