All colleagues from across the region came together for a day of learning and reflection, with sessions led by colleagues, supply chain partners and charities including Prostate Cancer UK and People First.

Throughout the day, our partners shared their expertise across a range of safety-critical topics. Safety Shield provided in-depth talks about Human Form Recognition technology, which enhances our plant safety. Flannery provided an excavator simulator, giving attendees hands-on experience of operating safely on site. Pristine Condition delivered practical guidance on safe manual handling, and GAP Hire Solutions ran an engaging session on spill response training.

CSTA Global shared best practice on service avoidance and safe digging techniques, helping teams reduce risk during excavation works. NTS demonstrated shoring methods to support safe excavations, and AG Fire presented their fire protection services, reinforcing the importance of proactive site safety.

We also heard from guest speaker Dylan Skelhorn, who shared his powerful story of survivorship, and comedian John Ryan, a passionate advocate for men’s mental health and wellbeing, whose insights rounded off the day.
