Celebrating our graduates at Crossness
14th October 2025
Recently, we were delighted to host a celebration event recognising our graduates who have completed 12 and 24 months in the business. The day took place at Crossness Engines – a remarkable pumping station that played a key role in London’s revolutionary Victorian sewer network, designed by the renowned Sir Joseph Bazalgette.
Standing amongst the impressive 150-year-old rotative beam engines offered a powerful reminder of the legacy of engineering in the water sector and how our work today continues to protect and enhance the critical infrastructure that underpins daily life.
The event was filled with insightful discussions, inspiring stories and presentations showcasing a key focus point during their journey so far as our graduates shared their experiences and achievements from their time at Barhale. We were also treated to a fantastic presentation from the Manor Road project team, who showcased the innovative digital twin and 3D modelling technology helping us define sustainable solutions for the replacement of life-expired sewer pipes along Bazalgette’s Northern Outfall Sewer (NOS) for Thames Water.
A huge thank you to everyone who organised, presented and attended. Congratulations once again to the following graduates on their achievement.
