Quality assurance
Barhale's reputation was established by delivery of a quality product which always
met client expectations as a minimum objective. The introduction of robust quality
assurance systems formalises that ethos and has been undertaken across the company.
Barhale achieved certification to BS EN ISO 9001 - 2000 in October 2003 (as part of our integrated safety, environmental and quality management system) across all of our operations. To meet our goal of continuous improvement our Quality Manager is charged with developing, monitoring and reviewing our Quality management System to ensure that all our operations are fully geared towards meeting client needs. Employees at all levels receive training under programmes designed to ensure that they have the necessary skills to deliver.
Improvement is a continuous process and the EFQM Excellence Model has been adopted to identify those areas where we need to focus our efforts. Our primary mechanism for monitoring, controlling and improving performance is the use of business critical KPI's as part of the Excellence Model. Working parties established across the company meet regularly to ensure that challenging and realisable objectives are set and to measure our performance as we pursue them.
