Engineering services

Engineering Services provides both an in-house and external fabrication, installation and commissioning facility along with a mobile site services operation for the manufacture and supply of rail and road gantries and associated fabricated structures. Mobile site support crews provide site welding, installation and emergency mechanical repairs to plant and the undertaking of mechanical, welding and associated minor site works.

The engineering services are supported by in-house technical management and design staff. Fabrication includes the manufacture and Installation of light structural steelwork, flooring and handrailing products for staircases, platforms, guardrails, balustrades, duct covers, bending and rolling and many allied products in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. On the heavier side we manufacture steel tubular piles, produce steel structures for the gas and petroleum industry and have been involved in sub-contract steelwork for bridges, docks and railways.

Engineering Services has extensive experience in steelwork design, manufacture and installation relating to the water industry, tunnelling, rail and highways.

Key clients include Bachy, Kier, Transco, Norwest Holt, Hanover Maloney, Balfour Beatty, Westinghouse, Grange Rexim, Mowlem, Edmund Nutall and water companies either directly or as third party suppliers through their supply chain partners.
