Barhale has been appointed as one of a number of contractors providing services under a Framework Agreement with Western Power Distribution for both their West Midlands and East Midlands businesses. This new appointment for Barhale is relating to the provision of Building and Civil Services for Sub-stations.
The projects will largely focus on new build sub-stations, transformer bunds and switch room buildings as well as reinforcement and modifications to their existing distribution network.
The framework runs from 11th June 2012 until 31st March 2015 and will be delivered by Barhale’s Northern Business Unit.
This award supports Barhale’s strategy to diversify and grow the business within the power sector. Barhale’s Chief Executive, Mark Cutler said "This is an important step for Barhale in a sector we are committed to bring our existing high standards to and we are very much looking forward to working with Western Power Distribution. This framework builds on our track record with Scottish Power where we have been undertaking similar works across the North West since 2007."
