We are pleased to announce Mark Cutler as Chief Executive.

He joins from Morgan Est where he was managing director for the past four years, having previously spent 15 years at Tarmac and Carillion.

Dennis Curran said: Mark’s appointment is the result of a long and careful search and I have absolute belief that he is the leader to deliver our vision that aims to achieve class-leading performance in the areas of profitability, safety and environment.

Mark, 41, is a chartered civil engineer and a graduate of Imperial College, London. He has direct experience in all Barhale's operating sectors, including water, transport and energy and was the ICE's Civil Engineering Manager of the Year in 2001.

Mark said: I am delighted to be joining Barhale at a key stage in its development. I see enormous potential in the culture and capabilities of the business, which combined with our private ownership structure and direct employment model will allow us to grow whilst continuing to provide a personal and trusted service to our customers.
