Barhale will
again be part of the team delivering Anglian Water’s capital programme.
Anglian Water Services, part of the
Anglian Water Group, has extended the contract with the @one Alliance into AMP5
covering the 2010-15 investment period. The @one Alliance will be responsible for delivering more
than 50 per cent of Anglian Water’s AMP5 capital programme.The companies that make-up the @one
Alliance are:
These companies will work together
within an alliancing environment and will be responsible for delivering
projects collectively in excess of £1 billion.
“The key challenge for the alliance
will be responding to the efficiencies set by Anglian Water to ensure that
schemes are effectively delivered
and that Anglian Water customers benefit from the investment as quickly as
possible,” said Chris Newsome, Director of Asset Management at Anglian Water.
Chris Smith, who leads the
Wastewater Infrastructure programme area said: ”We have worked hard to deliver
the efficiencies required for AMP4 delivery. The challenge is now to beat the
affordability challenge in AMP5. This will only happen if can be open to new
delivery ideas, designs
incorporating standard products and cutting out waste”.
