Starting out
Our two-year apprenticeships are a superb chance to obtain a nationally recognised qualification, while you earn at the same time. If you’re 16-24, enthusiastic and enjoy being part of a team, then Barhale is the ideal environment for you.
There are three different routes you can take as an apprentice, all of which involve a mixture of site experience and college-based training. The aim is to give you a balance between theory and practice.
Technicians
You will receive technical training through the CITB College in Bircham Newton, but will also gain valuable work experience on site. Eventually you’ll progress to the role of Civil Engineer at the end of your apprenticeship, which will bring you the opportunity for more part-time, local study or a university course.
General Apprentices
We offer a wide range of modern
apprenticeships. You might take on a practical trade as a fitter or electrician,
but can also choose to pursue an administrative or professional role. After
your structured programme of learning, you will have gained a relevant NVQ
Level 2.

“I’ve had lots of training. CSCS, NVQ Level 3, supervisory card. I also started an accountancy NVQ, which has helped me understand how systems work.”
